Katrina
Anne Foley represents employees with emphasis on Whistleblower
Retaliation and Unpaid Wage Claims,
but has a broad-based employment litigation practice
including Wrongful Termination, Discrimination and Sexual Harassment, and Defamation
in both State and Federal Courts. She was admitted to the California bar
in 1996, and to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California and
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1997.
Prior to the formation of Lents & Foley,
LLP, Ms. Foley clerked for two divisions of the Washington Attorney General's
Office: the Licensing and Employment Security Division and the Department of
Social and Health Services (1993-1996). In 1996 she moved to Orange County to
practice employment litigation as an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of
Michelle A. Reinglass (1996-1998).
Ms. Foley received her B.A. in English
with a specialization in Women's Studies from the University of California Los
Angeles (UCLA) in 1992 where she served as editor for a student newsmagazine.
She received her J.D. from Seattle University in 1996 where she was the
recipient of a Dean's Scholarship to attend law school. In 1996, Ms. Foley
served on the law school's Moot Court Board, and its Regional Mock Trial Team
for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) Competition. Ms. Foley
was chosen by the Dean as the student member for the American Inns of Court
Foundation, Puget Sound Chapter XXV, 1995 -1996. She also chaired the Women's
Law Caucus (1995-96). Upon graduation Ms. Foley received many scholarly awards
and distinctions, including the National Association of Women Lawyers
Outstanding Woman Graduate, Class of 1996; Washington State Trial Lawyers
Association Public Service Award, 1996; Washington Women Lawyers Scholarship,
1996. Spirit of the School of Law Award, Class of 1996; Faculty Scholarship,
1996.

Michelle M. Lents has
a broad based employment law practice advising and counseling businesses and
non profit corporations to prevent employment disputes, as well as
representing employees in employment litigation.
Her emphasis includes Sexual
Harassment and Anti-Discrimination
Trainings and litigation, Breach of
Contract; and Business Litigation in
both State and Federal Courts. She was admitted to the California
bar and U.S. District Court, Southern District of California in 1994, and
the U.S. District Court, Central District of California in 1996.
Prior to the formation of Lents &
Foley, LLP, Ms. Lents was a Judicial Extern for Justice Patricia Benke,
California Court of Appeal, Fourth District (1993). Following this
externship, she practiced medical malpractice and personal injury law with
an emphasis on nursing homes as an Associate attorney with Selik &
Associates (1994-996). In 1996 she moved to Orange County to practice
employment litigation as an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of
Michelle A. Reinglass (1996-1998).
Ms. Lents was named Attorney of the Year 2007 by the
Orange County Women Lawyers Association. She
received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude
with distinction in English from San Diego State University in 1990 where
she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Beta Phi, and the Golden Key Honor
Society. She received her J.D. in 1993 from the University of San Diego
School of Law where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi. During her second
year of law school, Ms. Lents traveled to Oxford England to attend the
International and Comparative Law Institute.
Ms.
Lents has taught Legal Writing and Remedies at Whittier Law School, and
Legal Writing at Western State College of Law.
