Newport Beach, CA--December 2007. Lents & Foley, LLP is pleased to announce that Associate Attorney Teal W. Anderson was elected to the Board of Directors for the Orange County Women Lawyers Association.  Ms. Anderson was sworn in along with other board members and new President Terese Oliver by Judge Hudson on December 3, 2007.

Ms. Anderson plans to help the organization work with other legal organizations to offer joint educational seminars and programs to lawyers.  "I'm excited to hold my first professional board position.  I hope to bring educational programs to the organization that will enhance not only our practical legal skills, but promote the positive roles that lawyers play within our community," said Ms. Anderson when asked about her new position.   

The mission of the Orange County Women Lawyers Association organization is to further the knowledge of the members in the practice of law and to stimulate the interest of law students in the practice of law, and provide a network for facilitating change for the betterment of women within the legal system.

Ms. Anderson joined Lents & Foley, LLP in 2006.  Her practice with Lents & Foley, LLP is dedicated primarily to employment law in the area of unpaid wage class action claims. Ms. Anderson is also a member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. She received her law degree from the Whittier Law School in 2005.  While in law school she made the Dean’s List, received the CALI excellence for the future award in Torts and was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board.  Ms. Anderson also interned for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office where she worked in the juvenile law department.
